The Gospel

We Are All Sinners By Nature & By Choice

Sin is anything that we do or say that breaks God's law. Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? It's likely your answer is "yes." There is no denying sin. We are born sinners and no matter how many times we try to be good or better ourselves, we will always fall short of a Holy God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

-Romans 3:23

The Payment For Our Sin Is Death.

Death is also mentioned in the Bible as a place called Hell (Revelation 21:8). The Bible tells us that the wage (or payment) for our sin is an eternity in Hell.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

-Romans 6:23

While We Were Lost In Sin, Christ Still Died For Us.

You don't have to be perfect before turning to God. There is no such thing as "too broken" or "too far." He loves you & wants you as you are. You can turn to Him today.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

-Romans 5:8

That's it. That's the Gospel.

How Do I Get Saved?

The world will tell you that you can have salvation by a wild variety of means, but the Bible is clear that there is only one way:

  1. Know & understand the Gospel (You are a sinner in need of a savior).
  2. Confess with your mouth that you believe in the Lord, Jesus
  3. Believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

-Romans 10:9

Jesus is all you need.

Arias Testimony

I was baptized at a young age but never remembered why and lived in doubt for many years. I attended church off and on but still lived for myself, addicted to my sin. When I was 18 someone shared with me about my sin and my need for a savior. I immediately confessed with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in my heart. Being someone who came from a dark childhood, as soon as I saw the light- I never looked back. Yes, I still have sin. But I desire now to turn from my sin and run full heartedly after Jesus. I pray I live this life, seeking and glorifying Him in all I do.

God has changed my life. it is my hope and prayer that you will accept his gift of salvation & allow him to change yours too.

FAQ

How do I know for sure if I am saved?

If you can look back on your life and remember a moment that you confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believed in your heart that He was risen from the grave, then you are saved. If you can't remember, you don't have to live in doubt - you can do it today.

Does being a good person save me?

No. Salvation is not found in works - meaning nothing that we do can save us. We can only be saved from our sin, by the blood of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:9)

Do I have to go to church to be saved?

Church does not save you. Confessing with you mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing that He was risen from the grave is what saves you. Church is a place where the body of Christ gathers to know Him more and to grow in their faith. This is important, but it is not salvation.

I'm saved. What do I do next?

Welcome to the fam! Here are a few steps as you begin your walk with God and your forever journey of seeking to glorify Him:

3. Find Accountability Through Friends & Discipleship (Proverbs 27:17; 2 Timothy 2:1-2)
